     I believe the optimal path to health and fitness is regular physical practice – not workouts, training or exercise – but “practice!”  The concept came to me from my study of the Chinese martial art of Kung Fu.    
     The term, “Kung Fu,” originally meant “to achieve excellence through ongoing study and practice in any endeavor.”  Kung Fu is a way of life, not only a system of self-defense.  The key is “ongoing.”  Study, physical practice and nutrition are all an integral part of a healthy life. 
     A few years ago, I adopted this approach and experienced a life changing transformation of body, mind and spirit.  Rather than seek the “hottest new work out trend,” I began a methodical journey of study and practice with fitness tools that have been around for centuries.  After years of relative inactivity, this more deliberate path gave my body a chance to strengthen and take on increasing challenges.  In time I achieved significant weight loss with increased strength and enhanced mobility.  However, my journey is far from over.
     This approach worked for me and I was inspired to share my experience and the techniques used with others.  In order to offer quality instruction, I sought additional training and certification from nationally respected instructor certification programs.  I offer private or group instruction in:

                       FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT, 
        KETTLEBELL, INDIAN CLUBS & TAI CHI 


    The approach will include a Functional Movement Screen to access any problem areas.  The practice utilizes Kettlebells, Indian Clubs and Tai Chi to build strength, mobility and focus.  You will learn proper form, technique and breathing.  You’ll learn various assistance drills and challenging progressions to increase skill and endurance.  We use restorative joint mobility and moving meditation exercises for warm up and cool down.  We will also spend time covering all appropriate safety issues.  
    This physical practice can be challenging, effective and fun for anyone who seeks to improve their health; regardless your current age or condition.  It is also a path that may be continued throughout life – and doesn't require a massive amount of equipment or a gym membership.
